The talk highlighted some of the events of my thirty six year career. My encounters with Peter Ustinov, Cheryl Campbell, Nick Bailey, Michael Palin, Kate Buffrey, Warren Clark, Lady Elizabeth Anson, Len Tucker, Norman Newell. The excitement of making my first record, performing on television and radio. The programme was lightened with stories of travels with my two year old son when I was a single parent and some of the disasters of my private life. Bad news sells.....but bad times plus time equals humour......it is how we cope with the problems life presents.

Reactions from the, approximately sixty guests, were generally excellent. I shook every persons hand, I would say that eighty percent liked the programme a lot, the ones with slightly stony faces stayed the whole time and there were five couples who were very, very enthusiastic about that which they had experienced.

In past years I have done some after dinner speaking, this was the first event for such a group in  this format, 

Over all the programme as it stands seems to me to be of value. 

At the end there was an enthusiastic round of applause.

1 When I was a child my parents looked after difficult children in a children's home.

2 From 1987 until 1999 I was a resident of Scotland.

3 I have performed in twenty one different countries.

4 My first wife left me with a two year old child, he and I then travelled the world together.

5 I lived in Switzerland from 1999 until 2010.

6 Many times I performed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonisia and Borneo.

7 I have two books published about personal development and can provide some interesting and fun talks on personalities and aspects of making one's self more attractive to others.
